About Laura
Laura Fuller-Cooper is a board certified art therapist and nationally certified counselor. Laura holds a graduate degree in art therapy from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and a Certificate in Early Childhood Education from UCLA. As a licensed and Board Certified art therapist, Laura has extensive experience working with children and adolescents and their parents/caregivers, and has treated people with diagnoses such as autism spectrum disorder, depression, chemical dependency, eating disorders, anxiety, and oppositional defiant disorder. With 20+ years of practice in both therapeutic school, residential treatment, inclusive art studio and psychiatric/hospital settings, Laura is skilled in working with a variety of ages and brings creative and solution-focused approaches to healing and personal growth. She utilizes a strength-based, humanistic and integrative approach to art therapy. Laura maintains a fine art studio practice focused on mixed media.

Laura has presented at numerous conferences, both locally and nationally. Laura has served as an adjunct faculty member at Mount Mary University, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, and Alverno College. Laura provides mentorship to the art therapy community by facilitating post-graduate supervision to new professionals, and as past President of the Wisconsin Art Therapy Association.
